Broomall Presby's Inspired Life has an exciting part-time employment opportunity. We are seeking a candidate who is detail-oriented, customer service driven and a self-starter to join our Human Resources Team!

General Responsibilities

Must be available 8:30am - 5:00pm; Monday, Wednesday, Friday



Provide administrative support for day to day Human Resources functions of the community. Promote positive employee relations. Assists in HR compliance issues and ensures full compliance with all DOH, DPW and other regulatory requirements at all times. Performs duties in support of Presby's Inspired Life's mission to ensure the highest quality of resident care in an economically sound and efficient manner.


Essential Duties


1. Assist in the overall recruitment process: Follows appropriate guidelines for internal job
posting, external advertising requests and selection of qualified candidates; Reviews all internal and external applications to ensure that they meet minimum requirements. Makes formal job offer, conducts employment references, criminal background checks and drugs screens as part of the post offer process; Coordinates onboarding, orientation and start date; Communicates with internal and external candidates not selected maintaining positive employee relations during the employment process.


2. Ensures compliance in credentialing process of all team members. Notifies the HR Director/Manager of any potential need to remove employees from the schedule due to non-compliance. Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations through administrative recordkeeping of employment files, including DPW/DOH requirements, at all times. Participates in community audits processes such as QA, DPW and DOH. Ensures posting of required information in accordance with Federal and State requirements.


3. Provides administrative support for the worker's compensation claims process. Reports work related injuries through the WC Carrier website; creates folders to maintain claim information, updates spreadsheets, etc.


4. Promotes Presby's Service from the HEART through clear communication of customer service standards, identifying employee recognition opportunities and encouraging accountability for excellent customer service at all levels throughout the community.


5. Assist in the coordination and execution of special employee appreciation and recognition events at the community.


6. Assists in the administration of the performance review process for the community. Ensures increase and retro adjustments are processed.

 

7. Assists in the administration of employee benefits programs including medical, dental and ancillary coverage; enters benefit changes into HRIS system. Answers basic employee questions regarding benefits, including 403(b), pension and 401(k). Sends reports of changes impacting employee benefits to the Benefit Administrator and Corporate HR Department.


8. Performs administrative functions in support of HR needs. Maintaining and updating employee personnel files. Updates HRIS and other systems timely. Processes invoices. Ensuring supplies are fully stocked.


9. Stores salary reports and/or any other confidential or sensitive information in a secure location and maintains confidentiality of all employment information.


Other Duties


1. Assists with other HR projects, events and activities as needed.

2. Participates in community meetings as required.

3. Adheres to and complies with state, federal and other regulatory requirements.

The incumbent must maintain skills necessary to safely and efficiently operate the following equipment and machines used in the performance of this job:

5. Mobile devices and tablets

Basic Qualifications


Education/Training: Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Professional Certification in Human Resources (PHR) a plus. Experience in healthcare field desired. Knowledge of state and federal regulations, pertaining to the healthcare field, a plus.


Skill(s): Proficient PC Skills; advanced user level of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other applicable software. Ability to communicate and interact clearly, courteously, and professionally with residents and staff at all levels of the organization. Proven competence in handling confidential information. Strong skills in planning, organizing and handling multiple tasks with short deadlines. Ability to work as a team member. Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills. Ability to operate various office equipment and machines.


Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in office environment required; Human Resource experience preferred.
